REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

February 10, 2012 - The more things change, the more they stay the same.  The Navy lifting team may have a whole new cast of characters for the 2012 offseason, but the results of the contests haven’t changed.  The two time repeating champions started the new campaign by dispatching Army 131-119.  Navy was paced by team leader Miguel “the Moo-cheen” Collazo’s 20 points, and Devon “Tank” Switser’s 19.  Collazo didn’t mince words after the final results were in, commenting,  “Rides?  We don’t need no stinking rides!”  OK...

In the week’s other matchup, Georgia Southern pulled an “upset” by pounding Air Force 113-89.  Air Force vet Coach Simpson vented his frustration when asked about the tough loss.  “You know what, I’ve been with this Air Force team for two years now.  We were horrible last year, looks like we’re going to be horrible again.  AF doesn’t stand for Air Force, it stands for Always Fails.  Nolan is screwing us over.  Whatever.”  The pressures of the competition seem to be getting to Coach Simpson already, lets hope he can turn it around - along with the rest of the Air Force team!

Next week’s matchups will feature Army vs. Georgia Southern.  Despite the fact that Georgia Southern was actually outscored by Army in their “win”, team leader Logan “the Patriot” Croft didn’t care.  “Stats are for losers.  Just ask Coach Belichick.  Final scores are for winners.”

Looks like we know who the Evil Empire is in this year’s edition of the Iron Vikings Championship.  If Croft shows up at workouts with a video camera, we’ll definitely be suspicious!
