BITTER END TO GREAT SEASON
Air Force Thumped in Finals
November 12, 2013 - The 2013 LI football season ended with a 27-21 defeat at the hands of the Rice Green Knights in the Division 2 state championship game.  Lyndon jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter but Rice reeled off 27 consecutive points to take a 27-7 lead late in the 3rd quarter.  LI rallied to close to within 6 at 27-21 but Rice was able to hold on for the win, and the title.  While the loss is certainly difficult to accept, it does not diminish an outstanding season for the team.  Thanks to all who helped!

January 24, 2013 - Congratulations to the Lyndon Institute boys basketball team for winning the school’s first ever state championship in basketball.  Great job!  Special shout outs to Viking football players JJ Mesics, Harwant Sethi Jr, Kyle Cipollone, and James Shufelt!

April 14, 2014 - It was with a heavy heart that I contacted Lyndon Institute athletic director Paul Wheeler this morning and informed him that I would be resigning from my position as head football coach.  I have been offered, and accepted a position as a varsity assistant coach at Midland Lee High School in Midland, Texas.  Lee competes in the largest classification in the state of Texas and has an unbelievable tradition of excellence.  While I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join such a well established program in the nation’s premiere football state, I am saddened to be leaving my alma mater behind.

I would like to thank the Lyndon administration, especially Paul Wheeler,  for taking a chance on a 30 year old unknown assistant from North Country 6 years ago.  I would also like to thank all of our players and their parents for their tremendous effort and commitment to the program.  It has been my pleasure to be entrusted with your sons during such an important formative time in their lives.  Finally, to my assistant coaches - you are the best in the state and the biggest asset to our program.  You are the caretakers of “The Brotherhood” and I am honored to have worked with you.

In sum, having the chance to return to my alma mater and coach the football team has been an awesome experience.  I am so fortunate to have had this opportunity and feel blessed to have had my life enriched by so many members of our community and football family.  Thank you so much!
